What drives you?

“If then you were raised with Christ,

seek those things which are above, where Christ is,

sitting at the right hand of God.

Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.”

Colossians 3.1-2

Happy Friday to you. Hope you have had a wonderful week. A great weekend is ahead of us. I am listening to John Bevere in my car where he is talking about the book killing Kryptonite. It is plain good to have something that refresh you and make your mind occupied when you drive, and this book makes you reflect and go deep into your life. Yesterday he said something that just would not leave my mind, it was actually a rare sentence; Christians now a days go so easily to lawsuit against each other. It just made me reflect on my own heart and how I approused others with who I was, and my attentions. And I asked the Holy spirit to reveal to me what was in my heart, and you know you are on thin ice when you do so, because he always reveals the truth to you, the hidden stuff that you hide even for yourself. So, he did, and I will tell you about that a bit later, but first I want to share something that has been on my mind this morning. Today I woke up with the name on Laban spinning in my head, and I just had to read the story….

Take the elevator

“No one can imagine

What God has Prepared

for Those Who Love Him”

1. Corinthians 2.9

It is such lovely weather today, and a perfect day to just enjoy life no matter what it holds. I drove past some golf players today, and they definitely enjoyed their game, and reminded me to enjoy my day.

How easy it is to get busy in our lives. We have so many demands all around us, and we see how we can meet these demands, and also what it will take to manage and for fill these demands. It may be taking care of the children, a project at work, finances that we need to see a change in etc. We all face them each and every day, but how do we let them affect us?

Faith more precious than Gold

“Be truly glad.

There is wonderful joy ahead”

1.Peter 1.6

This is one translation of this verse, another one is NKJV “In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials.” And another KJV “Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations.“ v. 7 “That the trials of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ”

Step Up & Step Out

“I am the door: if anyone enters by Me,

he will be saved,

and will go in and out and find pasture.

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.

I have come that they may have life, and that they have it more abundantly.”

John 10.9-10

One year ago today, I went to India to visit my dear friend Alana. And it was the beginning of my journey to step out and step up. What we have in our heart will only come alive if we step up and out into our dreams. Along the way we will be adjusted, learn, and guides to grow and stretch our selves to the limit that we think this is beyond what I can do. That is a good place to be, then we enable our self to walk into the door: Jesus Christ. And he can start to show us a life that is more than abundantly.

Walking by Faith

“Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for him”

Psalm 37.7

I just love the word Faith and walking by faith. It opens up the possibility to do the impossible, to be the impossible.

I do not know about you, but my life started out to not believe that there would not be any future out there for me. Just living from day to day, taking what came in my way, and just surviving. Many today are living in a surviving modus.

It does not have anything to do with status, poverty or bad life circumstances. Statistics show that as much as 80 % of the population in countries with good economy struggle with this.

A high number don’t you think? So, if you feel like you are just surviving, you are not alone. But no matter how your situation is, there is a solution and a way to walk out and into a way of living with joy and purpose.

Fear Not

“What is the strongest pain to have?
Fighting with fear or fighting with regret”
Andrew McShea

In all my life I have had fear very present as a strong director of what I choose to do. Often it was a motivator to sharpen my senses, but often it also was a brake to make me not enter into what I wanted to do. We all have a relationship to the word.
