Saturday and lovely weather. I just had to enjoy it and do something joyously. To me that often is taking a walk in the park, enjoying all the trees and quietness in the nature. So, I ended up in Quin Strong Park, Maitland Florida chasing birds and squirrel, hoping to get a picture.
Sorry to say that there were just trees on my camera. The lovely Cardinal was too quick for me to catch on camera but I did get to hear lots of the lovely song it sang. Later today I have seen more squirrel than I have had in all my life, so some of them got caught on camera. Maybe you will see one on the photo.
I have been thinking today about the sentence; Enlarged in our souls. What size do we want for our faith? It is ours to hold, to appreciate, to nurture and develop. Faith is given according to the vision and calling He give on our lives. Faith gives peace and joy.
in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. Romans 12.3-8
Faith enlarged the heart and mind to know and to hold the daily talk with the Holy Spirit. For we do not see with our eyes the beauty of the promises given to us. But choosing Faith in our steps trusting the one who has spoken the word. He who holds the sea in his hands; He also holds us.
Enlarging our soul with the word, as I read about in a book in the park. Enlarging it with the word of God. Making it grow inside us, in our minds and we can walk it out and as we walk it out it grows in our heart. So, in the question what size of faith do you chose; it is simply a question on where do we stand in our faith walk; do I walk it out some, a bit more, or all the way.
And as I was writing down this on my phone while walking, I met this wonderful, beautiful girl sitting in the park; Tanasia. It is sometimes strange how you meet people and they just talk about the same thing you are thinking about at the exact moment. She is a song writer and write battle rap songs.
She shared some good quotes that has to be passed on; “Put it on a paper and own it” & “Write down what you want and bury it”.
Tanasia told a story where she wrote down some things she wanted to happen, and then buried the note. It did come to pass. I like the bury part.
I would translate that to leave it in Gods hands.
Tanasia explained so good the rap battle environment, and when she said the quote;
“Put it on a paper and own it”
I could sense the strength in her words, and how you can use it in the battlefield. We have to own the word, we have to use it in a rap battlefield to enlarge our souls and our self. Making the statement that what we believe is what we own. The vision of the word, the vision it has put in our hearts. Without the vision, we will like it says; perish.
“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Proverbs 29.18
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4.18
